What is the Intermarium?
The Intermarium, also known as the "Between-the-Seas" region, is a historical geopolitical concept that refers to a proposed confederation of Central and Eastern European countries located between the Baltic, Black, and Adriatic Seas.

A Modern Vision Rooted in Legacy
The concept of the Intermarium is reminiscent of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, conceived by Józef Piłsudski to unite former Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth lands within a single polity. The Commonwealth was not only a powerful entity in 17th Century Europe but also known for its remarkable religious tolerance, making it a significant historical precedent for the idea of a regional alliance in the Central and Eastern European region. We are building a community of Central and Eastern Europeans across the world.
Our Mission
The Intermarium Foundation aims to promote, propagate, and educate about the Intermarium, support talented youth across the region, promote the region abroad, and create content about the history, culture, people and economy of Central and Eastern European countries, drawing inspiration from the legacy of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
